Sound Works provides professional audio services for the TV, radio, feature film and advertising industries, as well as the legal profession. Sound Works pioneered the digital transmission of audio from Houston to other facilities worldwide. Sound Works has, for over 25 years, provided audio forensics legal services.
Dwight enhance recordings for law firms nationwide and completes over 75 forensic projects yearly. In 2008, I decided not to seek the role of expert witness at trial. Prior to 2008, I testified in County, State of Texas and Federal Courts. Last testimony was in Ft. Bend County in 2013.
One of the best kept secrets: Media for Legal and Sound Works has been doing forensic media and expert witness services for many years. We restore noisy recordings and can tell if recorded evidence has been tampered with, which can be important in a trial. The same technology used in audio forensics to make a recording more intelligible allows us to reduce background noise and enhance the voice in video and film production.
Over the years we have cleaned up corporate video, film projects and re-mastered music. This technology is amazing. We have successfully peeled away background noise, a chirping bird, tape hiss, vinyl or record surface noise, airplanes, motors, air conditioner, hum and other noises from recordings.
Our process is non-destructive. The audio is loaded into a digital workstation and processed with specialized software by a skilled operator. No audio or video is removed or changed in the process, merely enhanced.
